"We have two children who attend Hawksfield Nursery, and I honestly couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

Our eldest started when he was 18 months old after previously attending another setting where he really struggled to settle in. The team at Hawksfield took the time to truly get to know him through several child-led settling sessions that were completely tailored to his pace and needs.

The transition process was excellent and also allowed me, as a mum, to experience the nursery setting alongside him. Seeing how he engaged with the staff and environment gave me so much reassurance and comfort. The team adapted their approach to ensure my child remained the focus when planning the best ways to gradually integrate him into the room, build relationships with staff, and interact with other children.

He has always been quite a sensitive and clingy little boy, but once those relationships were established, he would happily walk in and go for a cuddle with the team while I said goodbye. That was a huge achievement for him, and I truly can’t thank the staff enough for the care and patience they showed during those early days. They built the foundations for such a positive nursery experience.

As he has moved through the older groups, we’ve continued to experience the same child-led, nurturing approach, and he has absolutely thrived. 

Our youngest joined this year, and again the transition period was fantastic. He absolutely loves it there and it has been lovely to see him form friendships with his peers.

The Famly app is also a huge reassurance as a parent. It allows for prompt communication throughout the day and gives you real comfort knowing your child is settled — especially when you receive pictures of them out and about in the community enjoying new experiences.

The team are incredibly transparent, and you can clearly see that this is far more than “just a job” to them. Their ethos and child-centred approach are genuinely exceptional, and I honestly couldn’t recommend Hawksfield Nursery enough."
